Emergency Services
Emergency services assists with partial rent and utility payments through a voucher system to income-eligible clients.  Food from our community pantries is available in Gering, Sidney and Kimball. Outreach specialists provide referrals to other resources in our respective communities.
Family Development Program
The Family Development Program is a comprehensive, participant-centered case management program emphasizing family growth and development.  Personal independence, increased self-esteem, and economic self-sufficiency are the primary goals of the program.



Homeless Assistance Program
The homeless assistance program provides support, referrals and emergency assistance to homeless and near homeless families & individuals through a case management program.  Emergency supportive services are provided based on available resources to help fund emergency shelter costs.
Supportive Housing Program
Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers Program
The Seasonal Farmworkers Program provides partial payment of rent, utilities, food, gasoline and/or minor car repair to migrant families who come to our area each year to work in the agricultural fields.  Outreach Specialists screen applicants for needs and provide appropriate referrals to other resources.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
VITA provides assistance to eligible clients to help them complete their tax returns.  E-filing is offered.  Assistance is also offered for those who wish to complete their own returns.
Community Ever Green House
  A passive solar green house located in Gering, the green house is available year round for gardening, socialization, and field trips for all ages, including the elderly, youth and handicapped.  Classes in a number of different specialized topics are offered each month.  In the summer the Ever Green House is host to numerous summer visitors and offers a community garden as well.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
The CSFP program provides nutritious good and nutrition education at regularly scheduled clinic sites in 10 communities on a monthly basis.  These two programs serve 2,500 individuals per month.
Senior Corps Programs
       Foster Grandparent Program:
The Foster Grandparent Program is a national program which matches the patience and experience of age with the resilience and energy of youth.  Persons sixty years and older spend time with children reading, talking, building life skills and enjoying what each generation has to offer.  The volunteers work with children and youth in a variety of educational settings.
       Senior Companion Program:
The Senior Companion Program matches volunteers sixty years and older with frail elderly who are still in their own home.  The client is given individual attention they might not otherwise receive.  The ultimate goal of the program is to help the client maintain their independence, improve their quality of life and remain in their own homes for as long as is appropriate.
Scotts Bluff County Tobacco Free Network
The Tobacco-Free Coalition is made up organizations and community members in Scotts Bluff County.  The coalition meets monthly to work on education and prevention activities explaining the dangers of tobacco use.  These activates promote smoke free environments in schools, businesses and homes .
